Here is my journey so far...

Winchester Radio - Breakfast Presenter and Volunteer

March 2019 -

After two further years at other Community Radio outlets, I have worked on the Winchester Radio Breakfast Show for some time now – taking on multiple jobs around the studio and beyond. I have hosted the Breakfast Show for almost two years, creating and producing multiple pieces of new and engaging content. I am also a volunteer off-air in many roles, such as in the role of Script Editor - writing up ‘What’s On’ information for less confident volunteers – Music Library Specialist – working with other volunteers to ensure the station fits its remit and target audience in the music it plays – and Quiz Writer – writing questions on multiple subjects as part of multiple segments, including ‘Quizzing with Kevin Ashman’, a staple on my Breakfast show which I write and oversee.

Sound Radio - Presenter and Station Manager

September 2019 - June 2021

As well as the above, I joined my University’s Radio Station upon enrolling in 2018, becoming the elected Station Manager in 2020. As part of this role, I have had to communicate with a fragmented base of new and returning members, keeping them all happy and up to date at the height of the pandemic. As the head of the society, I have also dealt with all sensitive data from members in a safe and secure manner and had to think on my feet in terms of sustaining the community feel during this fragmented period.

On-air highlights in Student Radio include creating an Awards Show that reached listeners and voters as far as Finland and Luxembourg, and broadcasting live from 24 hours straight in aid of charity, raising hundreds of pounds.
